Dear Governor Zayco:

Greetings!

I believe that strengthening of livestock and poultry industry of Negros Occidental SHOULD NOT include importation and production of animal feeds derived from genetically modified (GM) crops due to the accumulated substantial evidence that GM-fed animals had problems with their growth, organ development and immune responsiveness, blood and liver cell formation, as well as damaged organs (bleeding stomachs, excessive cell growth, inflammation in lung tissue), sterility problems and increased death rates, including among the offspring.

Furthermore, evidence is beginning to emerge that if GM crops are fed to animals, amounts of GM material appear in the resulting meat and dairy products, and this raises serious human health concerns;

I support your stand upholding the Negros Organic Island and the ban on living and non-living GMOs.
