Gambare Goemon, or Legend of the Mystical Ninja, is a series of computer games made by Konami. The series first began in 1986 with the arcade title ‘Mr Goemon’. Konami then released the Gambare Goemon console games, shortly afterwards. The games proved to be very enjoyable, and popular in Japan. In 1991 Konami released the first Goemon title for the Super Famicom (Ganbare Goemon: Yukihime Kyuushutsu Emaki) In 1992 it was translated into English, and released in the United States, and later in the United Kingdom, the following year, where it was greatly enjoyed. Konami released many other Goemon games, for the play station, and game boy consoles, which were never released outside of Japan. One of the only other Goemon games to be released in the US/UK was Ganbare Goemon: Neo Momoyama Bakufu no Odori, which was released as Mystical Ninja: Starring Goemon,. This title was recognised as one of the greatest N64 games of all time, partially due to its excellent comedy script.

The intention of this petition is let Konami know that the Goemon series has a fan base outside of Japan, who would be happy to buy the games, for instance, in a Goemon Collection, for PSP, importing all of the Famicom/NES and Super Famicom/SNES games onto a single UMD, like other gaming companies (Sega Megadrive Classics collection, Capcom classics Collection etc) and porting the Playstation games to PSP for release in English.

We appreciate that this is easier said than done, but the effort extended to release the games in English can only benefit Konami.
