In view of the ever-present bashing of George R. R. Martin for the delay of the fifth installment of his A Song of Ice and Fire series, we, the faithful ASoIaF fans, consider it our obligation to express our support for Mr. Martin.


Dear George,

A Dance with Dragons has taken quite some time now, and this has left many of your readers disgruntled, which is, to some extent, understandable.

But know that many of us, despite our unmatched eager awaiting of the fifth book, still have patience and understanding. Therefore, we would like to express our support and to tell you that we fully respect your intention to finish the book when YOU think it is ready.

Just make sure it DOES get done, OK? ;]
