Hate Crime 801

In the early morning hours of July 4th, 2008, two men were brutally attacked in their own home! Their attackers, while beating them, shouted phrases at them which included the word “faggot”! One of the victims has been hospitalized and has had facial reconstructive surgery to repair the damage that was caused, which included, among other injuries, a broken eye socket! Almost one month later, to the day, two more men were also attacked in much the same way! The same derogatory terminology was used. So far NO CHARGES have been brought against the attackers in the first instance and very little has been done to find the attackers in the second!

We, the undersigned, demand that charges be brought against the responsible parties in the first instance AND that efforts be increased in finding the parties responsible for the second! As members of the human race, we let it be known that we will NOT tolerate this kind of behavior in our society! By allowing those responsible to get away with what they have done, you have reduced our community to its lowest common denominator! WE DEMAND JUSTICE!
