In a move leaving millions of people shaking their heads wondering what these people are thinking, Executives Mark Stern & Bonnie Hammer of NBC Universal / SciFi Channel cancelled one of the BEST and most popular shows on the entire cable network, and decided to put fake WWE Wrestling onto the SciFi channel. Sign this petition to send a message to these know-it-alls at SciFi that this fake wrestling stuff does not belong on the channel meant for science fiction, and to return our Favorite show, Stargate SG1!

Stargate is what built SciFi channel into the top ratings. Stargate continues to get top ratings, and was not removed due to that. Fans even called their cable companies years ago to ASK for SciFi channel to be included in their cable packages, BECAUSE they wanted to see STARGATE, not because of wrestling. And nobody called their cable company because they were so interested in watching little cheesy B-movies such as Pumpkinhead: Love Hurts, or 15-foot tall fake computer generated nazi's of the SciFi original movie DoomTrooper, or silly SciFi originals like "FrankenFish".

SciFi has cancelled ordering new episodes of the hugely popular Stargate SG1 show and not only that, but they had lawyers sneak a little clause into their contract that is preventing other interested channels to takeover the show and air new seasons in the USA. When asked if other channel could continue it, Mark Stern of SciFi is quoted as saying, not if we have anything to say about it, our contract with them prevents it. (This does not however prevent a channel in *another* country from airing new episodes of Stargate SG1.) And all the cast want to continue it, they signed on for another year. And MGM Studios is committed to helping to continue the franchise.

Email Mark Stern, mark.stern@nbcuni.com and Bonnie Hammer bonnie.hammer@nbcuni.com at NBCUniversal & all the other SciFi Executives. Phone, Fax, Write Letters and tell them you want Stargate back in production. Either that, or they should release the show, and stop holding it hostage, and let another interested channel continue to support and carryon the show. And not just for 1 season to wrap it up, either. Stargate has so much creative potential to generate new and interesting and revolutionary scifi stories for 5, 10, 20 years, for children newly getting interested in it, and a whole new generation of fans.

Five or 10 years from now, this fake wrestling soap opera stuff is still going to be around, you know it is. And they manage to play that out for years with only a storyline of a couple sweaty males play-fighting in a little ring. So 5 years from now, no matter the cast, what would you rather be watching? Jerry Springer & sweaty guys pretend-mauling eachother, or one of the finest science fiction shows ever produced? So we need to act now.
