Save Herne Bay Pier |
Due to your help, a trust is in the process of being set-up. Thanks, All of you!
To: Canterbury City CouncilThe Herne Bay Pier Pressure group ask that the once beautiful Victorian structure of Herne Bay Pier in Kent (built in 1832 at a length of 3,633feet) is rebuilt and restored to its original beauty. This wonderful piece of architecture was partly destroyed in a storm in 1978 and the remains have been left to rot by the present council.
Its rebuild would enhance our town and bring both employment and a boost to the local economy with many thousands of visitors to this seaside haven.
Canterbury City Council has to date, spent any monies available on the City centre and not on Herne Bay Pier. Its time for a change!!
Sincerely,
