Justice In The Murder Of Tammy Murray

The life of Tammy Lynn Murray was taken in an act of senseless and horrific violence by Aaron John Hickey. Her loss has left a void in the lives of all those around her. Our family's attempts to compel justice system officials to try Hickey for murder rather than manslaughter have fell on deaf ears. The system has failed Tammy in every sense of the word. All that remains now is for the Judge in this case to sentence Hickey for the beating and stabbing that he inflicted on Tammy's tiny body.

The purpose of this petition is to demonstrate to the Justice System that Tammy's life did have meaning, and that this meaning should not be ignored in death. Tammy's family and friends will be asking the Judge presiding over Hickey's sentencing hearing to impose a sentence of not less than 15 years for this heinous act of violence.

We are asking all those Canadians who beleive that killing someone demands a substantial penalty to help us show the Judge that 15 years in prison is a fitting punishment for someone who killed a vulnerable member of our society in an unprovoked and vicous attack.
