Save Quality and Properly Designed Aftermarket HID |
To: SEMA/NHSTA/DOTTo Whom It May Concern,
It has come to our attention that the NHSTA is preparing a ruling against aftermarket HID lighting kits (Docket 8885?). Banning such kits would have a devastating impact on the aftermarket lighting industry and will effect numerous people, from consumers to vendors to manufacturers.
Such a ban on HID kits, even quality ones, would generate even more issues regarding the very reason why NHSTA is banning these kits, glare.
There would be more people improperly installing OEM D2S capsules causing even more glare and beam pattern issues.
The aftermarket industry and SEMA need to take a stand here. If this continues, when will it stop? The government will start to limit all aspects of the aftermarket industry.
We as members of the HID Forum (http://www.hidforum.com) are sending you this letter to voice our concern on this issue. Please help make it aware there are MANY people against this ruling.
Please feel free to visit our forum should you have any comments or notes to add.
Best Regards,
Sincerely,
