Please allow us to take you back in time, to September 1995, to a friendly match between the national teams of England and Colombia. The 20,038 fans that assisted to that match witnessed one of the most important moments of football and indeed of sport history in the last decades: Rene Higuita’s Scorpion kick. This move has been labelled as a genius moment by the BBC, included in the network’s year 2000 montage of the greatest moments in Wembley stadium, and awarded number 94 in Channel4’s 100 greatest moments in sports.
