Australian Hip-Hop Chart on ARIA

We, the following Australian hip-hop fans have noticed over the years the continuing lack of support for homegrown hip-hop. We are proposing that you, ARIA, introduce an all-Australian hip-hop chart.

We believe it is time that the community acknowledges the growing popularity of hip-hop within Australia, and believe our hip-hop should be on a separate chart. We believe our country can embrace hip-hop as much as it embraces rock, and other such genres of music. Hip-hop in this country is becoming more relevant, and needs to be taken seriously within the music industry.

We, the undersigned, believe that Australian Hip-hop has unique characteristics, and deserves to be treated differently. We are also of the opinion that it provides the opportunity for artists to express themselves in an Australian context.
