Many people are blogging about Michael Vick. Should Michael Vick be given another chance to return to the NFL. This is a petition is a letter that will be sent to every NFL team Owner and Coach to try to encourage them to choose, "NO more felons in the NFL".
Yes it is true, there are others in the NFL who have committed crimes. It is now time to put your foot down and start a new NFL rule. Say No more Felons in the NFL. It is when we loose our moral foundation that we loose ourselves. You are doing a undeniable disservice to the great role models of the NFL who have not committed crimes by allowing felons like Michael Vick to return to the NFL. The NFL is just that, THE NATIONAL FOOTBALL LEAGUE, Its not THE NATIONAL FELONY LEAGUE, you also will be doing a disservice to this country by continuing to support felons in the NFL. I am saying to begin now and give your players fair warning that if they get a felony on their record from now on, there are no more chances to return to the NFL. And for those young men who are thinking about a career in the NFL, keep your criminal records clean because the NFL is raising their standards to not allow felony criminal records. You are rewarding the wrong group of men by allowing felons into the NFL.
Yes, he has done his time, and we are supposed to forgive. However, forgiveness doesn't mean forgetting. Most felons do not get to return to their jobs after committing a felony. Their corporations simply do not welcome them back with open arms. Drs loose their license to practice medicine, Attorneys get disbarred, Politicians no longer get to represent their constituents, and Judges get removed from the bench. Michael Vick is not the football savior for your teams. If Michael Vick returns to the NFL, his success will be limited, however the decision you make to re-employ Michael Vick will tarnish your teams reputation for years to come. Dont make Michael Vicks failure your future failures.
Many people are also saying It is just a dog, or Pit Bulls are born to fight. This is the most unreasonable thought process I have ever heard. I along with many of the NFL fan base do not understand this mentality. Maybe a visual will help you see what I see. We will not support Michael Vick. Please don't think this subject will go away. The NFL fans are far to smart to let this one go.
Below 3 sets of eyes, please choose the human being that you will not tolerate torture and killing and the dog that you will tolerate torture and killing. My point is when we only look at the eyes you will not be able to tell, and remember the eyes are the windows of the soul. Animals are no different, they bleed, they breath, they love, they cry, they help.
