The Invisible Man Season 3 Renewal

We, the fans, urge the network Powers that Be to consider adding The Invisible Man, originally airing on Friday nights on the Scifi Channel at 8:00 PM and 11:00 PM EST, to their programming schedules.

With a fresh, hip retro style and sly, witty tone, The Invisible Man is utterly unlike anything else on TV today. The characters are beautifully flawed and human and the scifi conceit never gets in the way of the wonderful banter and chemistry this top-notch cast and crew create each week. This show deserves a third season and many more beyond that.

The Invisible Man had attracted many new viewers to Scifi, which chose to cancel this wonderful series. The show is a veteran performer -- one of the top 3 original series on Scifi and consistently one of the top 10 scifi shows in syndication, in fact -- that will continue to attract a worldwide audience, not just to this show but to some lucky network's other shows and movies, as well.

Please don't discount this show's large, loyal and established fan base. Its viewership numbers in the tens of millions worldwide, and the show's unofficial fan club, the I-Maniacs (www.imaniacs.org) has over 500 international members, recruited by word of mouth alone. These dedicated fans have organized a multi-pronged campaign to save The Invisible Man (home.att.net/~skates/SaveI-MAN.htm and http://katslairontheweb.com/sTIM/index.html). In fact, the first petition to renew The Invisible Man for Season 3 garnered over 3,000 signatures.

The Invisible Man had good ratings, and from the beginning the fans had been looking forward to Scifi merchandising the show. There had been requests on The Invisible Man bboard (www.scifi.com/invisibleman) for everything from t-shirts to DVDs. A savvy network could easily profit by leveraging this untapped marketing opportunity.

In closing, we, the fans, would just like to urge the network Powers That Be again to take a serious look at this wonderful show, and see if there isn't some way they can add it to their programming lineups. We know they will be very happy with the results.
