This peition is to FIGHT WMATA's effort of installation of wool seats on its metro rail train cars. This is an unnecessary use of capital improvement funds, as the change is not necessary. Wool seats on the train will pose discomfort due to increased friction, and retention of body heat. They will also pose a risk to commuters, as if a liquid is spilled, it will not be able to dry properly. The current seats can be cleaned by light wiping, opposed to the maintenance methods to be required by wool seats.

We must stop WMATA from mismanaging funds on frivolous endeavours such as this. Please endorse MetroMan (creator & author of "iMetro" [www.wtfmetro.com]) in this crusade.
