Save Indian Tigers!

India's dwindling tiger population can never recover and it will take a miracle to save those left from habitat destruction and poaching- said Mr. Valmik Thapar, a renowned Indian wildlife expert.


The authorities have failed to understand the need of tigers. The tiger population in India in 2001/02 was around 3700 which has dropped to 1300 in the year 2007.


White tigers one of the most beautiful wild are rarely found in the wild. In about 100 years only 12 white tigers have been seen in the wild in India. They are almost extinct and most of the ones living are in captivity, mostly in zoos. Tiger poaching has led to huge decline in number of tigers across India….leaving behind nothing but shame!


A miracle is required to save the Indian tiger. India has half the world's surviving tigers, but their populations have suffered a lot.


No one is understanding the need of tigers, moreover the government has been placing tigers under greater risks by giving people right over forest resources. Even if it has to be done proper measures should be taken to ensure the safety of these amazing creatures.


It is not only the responsibility of the government and few concerned animal lovers, but we as human beings have to make continuous efforts to save the Tigers across the world, as well as those who are on the verge of extinction and save the world from loosing its natural heritage.


Our natural heritage must be maintained if future generations are to thrive spiritually, culturally, and economically.
