Resignation of Bertie Ahern and Audit of Government Members

To:  Dáil Éireann

We, The Undersigned, are of the opinion that An Taoiseach Bertie Ahern is deliberately misleading the Mahon Tribunal - and consequently the Irish public and electorate - about his financial affairs. While we believe that many members of the Irish Government play no part in corrupt financial dealings, it is the right of the people of Ireland to know that all members of the Government take part in sincere, just and honest practices.

Following this, we, The Undersigned, demand the following:

1. The immediate resignation of An Taoiseach Bertie Ahern.
2. A full, legal inquiry into the financial affairs of Bertie Ahern, followed by criminal prosecution, if deemed necessary.
3. Financial audits of all members of Irish Government by an independent group, followed by more in-depth inquiries, if deemed necessary.
