Justice for Mr. DaSean "JDee" Cooper

To:  California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger and State Attorney General Bill Lockyer

Injustice anywhere negates justice everywhere! Thus, this petition serves as a medium for us to request that due process be redressed for Mr. DaSean "JDee" Cooper. Mr. Cooper has not received adequate due process by the California justice system. Consequently, he has been wrongfully imprisoned by that system for a crime (murder) which he did not commit. We, the undersigned, request that California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger and State Attorney General Bill Lockyer review Mr. Cooper's case, grant due legal process to Mr. Cooper, and exonerate Mr. Cooper from having been falsely accused of committing murder. Furthermore, we, the undersigned do not merely request that Mr. Cooper be granted clemency. For him to be granted clemency would imply that he would be forgiven for committing a crime. This is not the case for Mr. Cooper, since he did not commit the crime (of murder) for which he is wrongfully incarcerated and having already served over eleven years!
