Satisfaction for All Fans of Stargate SG-1

To:  Richard Dean Anderson, Robert C. Cooper, Peter DeLuise, Michael Greenburg, Damian Kindler, Jeff King, Joseph Mallozzi, Andy Mikita, Paul Mullie, N. John Smith, Martin Wood, and Brad Wright

We, the undersigned viewers and fans of the MGM Television Holdings production of the SciFi Channel series Stargate SG-1, wish to inform the production staff, writers and directors (henceforth known as The Powers That Be) of our unified wish to see the upcoming Season Eight return to the formula of fairness and equity that was present in the early seasons and continues to mark these seasons as among the truly best television that has ever been produced.

To this end, we, the undersigned, humbly request the following:

1. That all members of SG-1 receive equal screen time and/or representation.
2. That those characters whose screen time is necessarily shortened to accommodate cast members' personal obligations be used to the equal advantage of all characters.
3. That all characters are given equally important duties to fulfill within all plotlines and story arcs.
4. That all characters are given equal amounts of growth, development, and consideration.
5. That all characters are given actions and lines that are in accordance with their respective strengths and/or weaknesses.
6. That all characters be shown to care deeply for one another.
7. That no one character be promoted at the cost of any other.
8. That the mythology and wonder of the Stargate Universe be given the same consideration that it has received in the past.
9. That all emotional attachments between any and all characters be handled decisively and resolved in a manner befitting each character's personality and maintaining each character's integrity, honor, and humanity.
10. That *all* fans, regardless of fandom affiliation, be left satisfied, if not happy, and that *no* fan or group of fans will be left feeling that they have deliberately been ignored.

We, the undersigned, come from all over the world. We are 'shippers; we are slashers; we are genners. We love Sam'n'Jack; we love Jack'n'Daniel. We want to see friendship; we want to see compassion; we want to see love. We wish to enjoy what we see; we wish to see what we enjoy. We are fans of Col. Jack O'Neill, Dr. Daniel Jackson, Maj. Samantha Carter, Teal'c, Jonas Quinn, Maj. Gen. George Hammond, Dr. Janet Fraiser, and the multitude of vast and various characters we have met through the years. We love our characters; we love our team; we love Stargate SG-1.

We respectfully request of TPTB that you grant it to us once more.
