Keep Jess on the Gilmore Girls

I am unhappy to hear that high costs have forced the WB Network to let go of the Gillmore Girls’ spinoff where the character of Jess Marino (Milo Ventimiglia) was to live with his estranged father (Rob Estes) in Venice, California. It is not clear whether Milo’s character will now return to the mothership series, which is completely depressing for his fans.
We look forward to seeing Jess every week on the Gilmore Girls, keeping his hold on Rory’s heart after stealing her away from Dean, her safe and steady (rather boring) boyfriend of over a year, complicating many situations for the residents of Stars Hollow and adding confusion in his uncle Luke Danes’ life. Jess adds a kick to the show like no other character and the many times that we have seen him feud with Dean have been more than just humorous. His not-so-safe attitude just makes him more attractive, while his love for the same books and music that Rory adores, grants him our approval. Not to mention the fact that he is in love with her, who did he actual manage to foul? When he crashed her car and landed her in the hospital, everyone knew that it was eating him up inside; he cared for her too much. Later, when his relationship with Rory blossomed, we needed to see more. Unfortunately, Jess kept his feelings inside, didn’t tell Rory that he wasn’t graduating from high school at the same time as her and he never brought her to her prom. Then, Jess left Rory for the second time without saying goodbye, ending everything good between them. But we still want a chance to see Jess again; somehow no matter what he does we manage to forgive him. And we wish Rory would too.
We were depressed to find out that Milo will no longer be seen on the Gilmore Girls as Jess and now to know that he will not even have a place on a spin-off show is aggravating. Please keep a space for Jess on the Gilmore Girls, it won’t be the same without him!
