Minnesota Joint Custody Presumption

WE, THE UNDERSIGNED petition the Legislature and Governor Tim Pawlenty, of the State of Minnesota, to support and sign into law, legislation that requires a PRESUMPTION OF JOINT PHYSICAL CUSTODY in Minnesota’s family law statutes.

We believe this law should expressly provide that joint physical custody is presumptively in the Best Interest of a Child except in cases involving abuse, endangerment or neglect, or where the parents otherwise agree.
