Justice for Miami Edison Students

To:  State Attorney Kathleen Fernandez-Rundle and Miami Edison Principal Jean Teal

We are completely dismayed by the actions of the Miami Police and the School administrators on Friday February 29th at Miami Edison High School that resulted in the arrests of 27 youth and countless cases of youth being beaten and injured. We support the demands of the students as outlined below and further demand that they are met in their entirety NOW!

We , the students of Edison Senior High School, and the organizations and individuals who support us DEMAND LET US SPEAK!

ARREST ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL PEREZ

Drop ALL charges against those arrested

RESTORATIVE JUSTICE must be implemented immediately at Edison High School to prevent suspensions and arrests and to resolve the issues at the school.

NO RETALIATION against students for Friday's events

Fire the principal

Investigate all officials and police involved; charge and
discipline those guilty of abusing and violating students

Release all unedited videos from school cameras

Return all possession taken from youth

Address incompetence of school management

Create a Process for students and parents to file complaints about
and submit testimonials about what happened
