We the Citizens of the 9th Congressional District of Southwest Virginia do hereby draft the Honorable Terry Kilgore of the Virginia House of Delegates representing the 1st District of Southwest Virginia, to run for the Office of Congress of the United States of America.

Delegate Kilgore has demonstrated through his service as Delegate of the 1st District, his dedication to the citizens of Southwest Virgina. His strong conservative values are evident by his voting record which can be viewed at http://www.votesmart.org.

Delegate Kilgore would be running against incumbent Congressman Rick Boucher (D-VA) who is now serving his 14th term representing the 9th Congressional District. Congressman Boucher was instrumental in the drafting and passage of the recent Cap and trade Legislation and now seems to be throwing his support behind Nationalized Healthcare.

Congressman Boucher’s strict party line voting record does not reflect the values of the majority of citizens he represents.

Delegate Terry Kilgore has consistently stood on traditional Conservative values, fighting to protect the Constitutional rights of the Citizens of the 9th District.
