Dear Rock and Roll Hall of Fame:

As loyal fans and supporters, we feel the time for you to induct KISS into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is overdue. KISS should be in the Hall because since they began they've pushed the boundaries, and do the things that other bands don't. KISS, as Gene Simmons puts it, is "more than just a rock and roll band; they’re a rock and roll brand."

Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley set out to create the band they always dreamed of, one that would give the audience an amazing show, an escape, and be different from anyone else before and after them. Peter Criss, Ace Frehley, Eric Carr, Vinnie Vincent, Mark St. John, Bruce Kulick, Eric Singer and now Tommy Thayer have all shared that vision and have helped to carry the torch for over three decades.

For years, critics haven’t gotten it, but the fans have. Believe in yourself and don’t let anyone tell you that you can’t achieve your dreams. If it means putting on make-up and creating larger than life characters, so be it. If it means taking off that make-up and reinventing yourself, it’s done. KISS has an amazing work ethic. Even after 3 decades of existence, they still pour every ounce of themselves into their live shows to make sure they surpass their amazing legacy.

The influence KISS has had on the entertainment industry and pop culture is undeniable. Artists including: Garth Brooks, Lenny Kravitz, Hootie and the Blowfish, almost any hard rock band since them, James Woods, and Alec Baldwin among many others have called themselves KISS fans and in some cases have even named them as a huge source of inspiration.

They have survived through years of shifting music trends. In a day and age where the American public changes taste so frequently, KISS has managed to persevere for over thirty years, despite the fact that many critics and radio stations wrote them off.

KISS is an American original and deserves to be in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with all of the greats.
