Puppy Mills Petition.

Hello,
My petition is to spread awareness of puppy mills, and how to stop them. Puppy mills are cruel, period. They are well-known for their inhumane conditions and the constant breeding of unhealthy and genetically defective dogs only for profit. They are kept in small wire cages for their entire lives. They are almost never allowed out. They never see sun, solid ground, or grass to run and play. Often there is no heat or air-conditioning in a puppy mill. The dogs freeze in the winter and can possibly die of heat stroke in the summer. Many puppies can literally "cook" on the wires of their cages in the summer if it gets too hot. Most puppies of only 5-8 weeks are taken from their mothers and shipped to these mills, without acceptable food, water, or shelter, most often on non-ventilated trucks and planes. Hundreds of thousands puppies are raised in these cruel places each year. If the people refused to buy a puppy from a pet store, the misery of puppy mills would end.
