Note: Officer Kerry was accused of taking photographs of students (specifically in their dorm rooms) without their consent. He was hired on 3 seprarate occasions to photograph events but has not taken photos in dorms. Some comments were submitted by students who felt uncomfortable around him, which subsequently led to his termination.

To:  Sweet Briar College

The students, alumnae, faculty, staff and friends of Sweet Briar College demand that Officer Kerry Scott be retained as an employee at our Campus Safety Office.

Officer Kerry is an integral part of our community. Past and current community members attribute Kerry Scott as an influential, caring person on our campus. He has significantly increased the feeling of safety for the women and men who spend time here. We feel that his termination from Sweet Briar is unjust. Officer Kerry is a credit to his profession, going above and beyond the call of duty and what is written in his job description to create the most safe and trusting environment possible.

We, the undersigned, hereby commit to pledge our support for Kerry Scott to remain employed as an Officer with Campus Safety at Sweet Briar College.
