You think the William Hung audition was funny? You think Reynaldo Lapuz was interesting and entertaining?

Well you haven’t seen DE COCOANUT LADY. She looked like a moving tropical jungle! Dressed in a bright red and other colors touristy flowered shirt, red and yellow tropical bandana, a brown Coconut hat with half a coconut shell on top of her head (wig), 2 bright red leis, a light green knitted skirt, stuffed derriere, pink sneakers, and red glasses with no lens, the outlandish, bizarre and colorful mysterious West Indian (Caribbean) Market Woman character, Cocoanut Lady landed a coveted spot in New York in front of American Idol judges Paula, Randy, Kara, and the object of her affection, Simon Cowell, for whom she belted out a 'Naughty' song. 'Every time I see your face Simon,' she said, ‘I feel… Naughty’. Cocoanut Lady, aka Gertrude Fahie, says she dreams of having a child with Simon. 'I will name him…Cocoanut Cowell' she says.

However, on January 29th 2009 at approximately 9PM FOX showed it's last audition for American Idol' 2009. The show was very entertaining lot of interesting characters, BUT NO COCOANUT LADY. American Idol shot lots of footage of her but yet excluded her wacky, exclusive performance! Not very talented, over-aged and desperate for fame, Cocoanut Lady was one if not the STRANGEST, weirdest and most colorful character ever to appear on 'American Idol' and over and over again declared herself the next American Idol.

'The showing of the Cocoanut Lady would be a nice triumph for West Indians and Caribbean people all over the world, even though she is a cutup and often a bit embarrassing.' says Abbey Kyat Cocoanut Lady's 'manager'. 'Being from the U.S. Virgin Islands, Cocoanut Lady represents Americans and West Indians alike. The West Indian community and others that know of Cocoanut Lady and those that love Caribbean culture are saddened by the exclusion.

‘Simon them made a big mistake.’ says Cocoanut Lady. No they made a Beefsteak by not putting me through to Hollywood because of me age, and by not showing me audition; Seems like I put on tree girdles for nothing. Hopefully they’ll show it someday; but you know what? Ah still love me some Simon’.

Tell Fox, American Idol, Fremantle and all the executives that be, that we would like to see the Cocoanut Lady's audition that she did for American Idol. We want our Cocoanut Lady! We Want Cocoanut Lady!
