Lift Ban on the Dalai Lama

South Africa has instituted a ban on the Dalai Lama which denies him entrance into South Africa. The Dalai Lama was to attend a Peace Conference on 03/27/09. The Tibetan spiritual leader and Nobel Laureate did not receive a visa because it was not in South Africa's interest for him to attend, said Thabo Masebe ( The Presidental Spokesperson).
"We cannot allow focus to shift to China and Tibet," Masebe said, adding that South Africa has gained much from its trading relationship with China.

This course of action should not be tolerated and action needs to be taken to either allow the Dalai Lama entrance into South Africa or Postpone the upcoming International Peace Conference.
