Reconsideration of the Cast of the Avatar: The Last Airbender Film

We, the fans of Nickelodeon's Avatar: The Last Airbender, hereby state that we disapprove of the cast that has been chosen for the live-action film. A series that has its roots based in Asian culture should have a cast that reflects that as well. By saying this, we do not mean that an entirely Asian cast is necessary, but that those casted for roles in this film should look similar to their television series counterparts. While such casting should not interfere with the actors abilities to do their jobs, it is still important to resemble the original characters as closely as possible. It is this that we believe you have failed to do, and we ask that you please reconsider the actors that have been chosen, as well as those in charge of their having been casted in the first place. We thank you for your time, and hope that you heed our advice.
