Bring The Professor Layton Trilogy to North America

To:  Nintendo/ Level 5

This Petition is aimed directly at Nintendo, and the developer, Level 5. As you may know, Level 5 released a game on the Nintendo DS back in February 2008 titled "Professor Layton and the Curious Village." It was a simple puzzle game that many loved and brought many people into the puzzle solving party.

The game was originally released in January of 2007 in Japan, and it's sequel, Professor Layton and Pandora's Box was released in November of 2007 in Japan. The third sequel in the trilogy was released the following year in Japan, while the US still never got the second game.

In the original game, after completing the game, you had the option of going and solving some bonus puzzles. But there was also a secret section in the bonus section that would only unlock from a code that was obtained in the sequel. But we still haven't gotten that sequel. The game mentions the sequel, and so did the instruction booklet, but where is it?

Now there is talk of a new trilogy being developed for Professor Layton. A series that's a prequel to the original trilogy, and the first game from said trilogy comes out this year in the Fall in Japan. While the US is still missing the second game.

There is also the two trailers for the movie coming out in 2010. But are we in the US/Canada going to have to wait until someone subtitles it with English wording before we can watch it? We shouldn't have to.

If you played the game, loved it, or just liked the puzzles, and wants the sequel or more puzzles, sign the petition below. Let's hope we can convince Level 5 and Nintendo to localize the other two games and show them that the game is just as popular over here, as it is in Japan.

Sincerely,

The Undersigned
