Petition for the protection of all treed areas within the City of London from defoliation by Gypsy Moths.
We consider Gypsy Moths to be a threat to all trees in the City of London. Immediate action must be taken in the infested areas (which currently includes Springbank Park and West London) to protect these areas from infestation and to reduce the spread of Gypsy Moths to other areas in the city.
We petition Londons City Council to:
1. Take aggressive steps towards the elimination and control of Gypsy Moths in the infested areas (including Springbank Park and West London).
2. Budget for, and schedule aerial spraying of Btk for the above to occur in the spring of 2009.
3. In 2009, have in all major woodlands inspected to determine the level of devastation and risk.
