Change Pronunciation of Letter W

To:  the world!!

This all began in a subway station in Brussels in December 2005, when I heard an announcer spell out a website address - she began, 'www', or, pronounced in French 'doub-la-vey-doub-la-vey-doub-la-vey'.

Gosh, I thought, how long-winded for just three letters.

But then it occurred to me...'W' IN ENGLISH IS JUST AS INEFFICIENT!!

Think about it. Pronouncing the letter 'w' takes 3 syllables - 'dub-el-you'. 3 syllables for just a single letter!!!!

The madness must end here. So this is the quest - to change its pronounciation from this 3-syllable monstrosity to, simply, 'wuh'.

That's right, 'wuh'. One syllable instead of three - thus a saving of 2 syllables! My calculations have suggested that around $72.3 trillion will be saved worldwide through the increased efficiency resulting from the change.

Just imagine...when giving someone a web address, instead of using 9 syllables (dub-el-you-dub-el-you-dub-el-you) you will need only 3 - 'wuh, wuh, wuh'.

Please help us change the world.

Sincerely,

The Undersigned
