Senate and House Term Limits

The long over do injection of congressional term limits enacted through federal law.
The house and senate no longer follow the will of the people. The pork belly bills passing through congress due to political lobby and personal interests will no longer be acceptable to the will of the people.

When we see (for example) old senators leaving office due to health or age and events like attempting to inject there family members filling that seat is not acceptable any longer (refer to the Kennedy exit and attempted injection of his unqualified niece). A career politician or political family is not acceptable or a benefit to the people and this nation.

This proposal is brought about due to the lobbyist and special interest groups which are allowed to influence our politicians through incentives for them directly or indirectly to family members and will not stop. The prevention of these lobbyists and special interest groups to influence our congress can no longer be watched/controlled when the politician themselves are in the pockets of these groups in some form! This is no longer acceptable and this has become an increasing issue for some time. It must stop and the signing of the petition will begin to make this a reality. We will not wait for the political powers to govern there own activities any longer or be influenced by outside forces other then the citizens of this United States. (This is like a thief policing a thief to prevent stealing again!)

We the undersigned support and request immediate legislative action concerning these following lifetime limits:

* In the Federal House of Representatives it is proposed a term limit bill of two, consecutive (if elected)2 year terms (Lifetime).
* In the Federal Senate, a bill is proposed for two - 4 year terms (if elected) would be the lifetime limit and not consecutive terms.
* It is requested this proposal have a retroactive beginning (Simply, a member has served 2 terms (whether consecutive or not; youre finished at the end of current term).


Let the congress know we are taking the issues in hand since THEY have not lobbied for the people!
