Harsher Sentence's for Murderer's in Canada

A recent murder case has been brought to my attention, the Jennifer Horne case. Trial for the muder of Jennifer Horne is set for March 20, 2008 in Halifax NS. This petition is to alert the Canadian Justice System that we, the people of Canada wish for harsher punishment's for the person(s) responsible for comitting such heinous crimes. Most often in Canada, these criminals only serve half of their punishment, then proceed to live normal and happy lives. But what about the live's they've taken? The families of the victim(s)? We need to make sure these criminal's are put away so that they cannot hurt anymore people. To you, The Canadian Justice System, please revamp the Justice System here in Canada so murderer's and/or sex offender's receive a more harsher sentence.
