Keep Linux in the Server Closet - Not the Desktop!

To:  X11 Developers, Linux Distribution Authors

Linux, an operating system, has been developed with one strong goal: To create a free, open source alternative to the legacy System V Unix server operating system.

Linux should not be intended to replace a real desktop operating system such as Microsoft Windows or Apple OS X. It is a server operating system and belongs text-only in a server closet.

Please, stop trying to shoehorn Linux onto the desktop.

Keep Linux in the server closet, where it belongs!

Sincerely,

The Undersigned
