Queen + Paul Rodgers to perfom in Rock In Rio-Lisbon Festival

We, the undersigned, ask for the coming of Queen + Paul Rodgers to Portugal in concert as part of the Rock in Rio-Lisbon which will occur in Lisbon, between May and June 2006.
Here, some of the reasons that would make Queen’s performance a major event inside another great musical show, which will be, of course, Rock in Rio- Lisbon:

- The Queen + Paul Rodgers Tour 2005 achieved an enormous success. About 30 shows were sold out across Europe during this tour. They performed before over 65 000 people in Hyde Park, London, on July 15th 2005 and during the tour have performed before over 480 000 people all over Europe.

- In 2005 Queen and Paul Rodgers recorded a new album (CD and DVD) called "Return of the Champions".

- The success of the 1st Rock in Rio festival, in 1985, was in part due to the Queen performance.

- At Restelo Stadium, in Lisbon, Queen + Paul Rodgers have performed before nearly 30 000 people. This was quite remarkable, since there had been little promotion of the concert, the tickets were considerably expensive and there was a lack of important bands to perform during the 1st half of the show.

- The 1st petition created in an attempt to bring Queen to Rock in Rio Lisbon in 2004 was signed by over 2000 people.

- Queen is possibly the most popular rock band in Portugal and Brasil.

Do please sign this petition, even if you’re not Portuguese. It would be a great event to all Queen fans to assist at their performance in what would be the greatest rock festival of all time, in Europe.

Nós, abaixo assinados, pedimos a vinda de Queen + Paul Rodgers a Portugal em concerto incluído na programação do Rock in Rio-Lisboa 2006.
Eis algumas das razões pelas quais consideramos importante a presença de Queen + Paul Rodgers neste Festival:

- O sucesso da digressão que os Queen iniciaram com Paul Rodgers em 2005, na qual esgotaram cerca de 30 recintos europeus, tendo tocado para mais de 65 mil pessoas no Hyde Park de Londres a 15 de Julho de 2005.

- O número total de pessoas que assistiram aos concertos de Queen + Paul Rodgers na Europa ascende a mais de 480 mil.

- Queen + Paul Rodgers editaram em 2005 um novo CD e DVD, intitulado "Return Of The Champions".

- Os Queen foram um dos principais responsáveis do sucesso do primeiro Rock In Rio em 1985.

- Perto de 30 mil pessoas foram ver Queen + Paul Rodgers no Estádio do Restelo em Lisboa, o que se torna ainda mais notável, tendo em conta a deficiente promoção do concerto, o elevadíssimo preço dos bilhetes e a falta de bandas de renome para fazer a primeira parte.

- A primeira petição elaborada com o intuito de trazer os Queen ao Rock in Rio-Lisboa em 2004 reuniu mais de 2000 assinaturas num curto período de tempo.

- Queen é possivelmente o grupo de rock mais popular em Portugal e no Brasil.

Por favor, assine esta petição, mesmo não vivendo em Portugal, será um grande acontecimento para todos os fãs, Queen + Paul Rodgers virem a actuar no maior festival de música da Europa.
