This petition will be coupled with a video documentary with interviews of members of the community including students and parents expressing their opinions on the Random Student Drug Test Policy. Copies of the petition and documentary will be sent to Dr. Jerry Roy - Superintendent, the PTA, and the Board of Trustees.

To:  Dr. Jerry W. Roy - Superintendent

LISD has approved a Random Drug testing Policy.

According to the Dallas Morning News, "Trustees approved spending $437,787, which includes $109,427 for drug testing and additional money for counseling and support programs."

If you believe that this is a total waste of resources, that could instead be used for other means (IE: Better computers in the schools, updated textbooks, eliminating years of extra-curricular activities' fund-raisers, etc..) or if you believe that a Random Drug Testing Policy will not solve the drug issues in the LISD, please sign your name below.

If you are a student, it would be great if you could also attach your school's name.

IE: John Doe, Flower Mound High School

Sincerely,

The Undersigned
