Everyone remembers the television shows that they grow up with. The people of previous generations have been blessed with their favorite television shows being recently released on dvd so that they may relive their childhood or earlier moments of their lives. My generation grew up watching all of the great Nickelodeon shows in the early to mid 1990's, such as Salute Your Shorts, Clarissa Explains it All, Hey Dude, Are you Afraid of the Dark, All That, The Secret World of Alex Mack, The Adventures of Pete and Pete, etc... Nickelodeon then decided to release a "Nickelodeon Rewind" series in which most of these shows would have all of their seasons on dvd!! When Nickelodeon rewind was only partially off of the ground Paramount pulled it and canceled any dvd's that haven't been released yet. Now we are stuck with, for example, seasons 1 and 2 of The Adventures of Pete and Pete with no 3! Many shows haven't been released at all, such as Hey Dude and Salute Your Shorts. Is seems that these shows are lost forever if the company holding the rights has pulled the plug, and the shows are no longer airing. Has our generation lost it's right to relive our childhood memories too? This petition will hopefully reach everyone in my generation who loved these shows too and who once came home with a smile on their face after school because they knew these shows would be waiting for them. Please, sign this petition and maybe we can get the numbers to influence Paramount that there really is a fan base for these shows we all grew up with.
