2009 Talladega schedule change

To:  Nascar

We, the undersigned, urge Nascar and International Speedway Corp. to reconsider changing the fall 2009 Talladega Speedway schedule. Most of us have gone to this speedway for years and our schedules are set around the first week of Oct, not Nov. 1rst. Some of us make the Daytona and Talladega races. We freeze at the Feb Daytona race and fry at the July Daytona race. Our one saving grace has always been the perfect weather we have on the first week of Oct. Talladega race! We know the reason behind these 2009 schedule changes are to draw more people to the Fontana Calif. Race. We’ve heard how “uncomfortable” the heat is for those poor Californians at their summer race. These people should try Daytona in July, it’s an oven, but we still make the race. We are so tired of Nascar bending over backwards to accommodate Calif. We’ve lost some great historic tracks and races here on the east coast because Nascar seems to care more about their “new” fans in Calif. rather than their die-hard fans on the east coast. Some (if not most) of us already have our plans made for the Nov 1rst race week-end, and it is not fair to ask us to change our schedule. Come on Nascar, try being fair to those of us that made you what you are today

Sincerely,

The Undersigned
