Get Barnett out of Office

To:  Bakersfield, CA County Supervisors

This petition is to get as many signatures as possible to see to it that Bakersfield, CA County Clerk Ann Barnett is either laid off or forced to do her job as County Clerk and perform marriages regardless of her personal beliefs. She is refusing to perform any marriages because she does not believe that same sex couples should not be allowed to be married. You don’t get a choice on who you love. You love who you love, and you have every right to marry someone of the same sex, if you can marry someone of a different sex, race, age, religion or whatever else difference. To allow this woman to act like this is a complete segregation. Separating someone because of a difference.. in this case, a difference in preference. WHO CARES! everyone deserves to be happy and is entitled to equal rights.
