Bring Back the Original Cast of Magnum P.I.

To:  Magnum Fans Worldwide

While the news of Universal Pictures' and Imagine Entertainment's decision to bring Magnum P.I. is truly positive, we, the fans of the original show are dismayed by news that indicates that the original cast will not be involved. Tom Selleck is, in the minds of Magnum fans, Thomas Magnum. As such, it seems odd that Universal/Imagine would want to risk alienating those who have, for so long, been calling for a big-screen Magnum by casting another actor in the titular role. In addition, it seems odd that Universal/Imagine appear determined to go the route of such other recent, unsuccessful big screen adaptations of older shows (i.e., Charlie's Angels, etc.) by completely changing the very things about the original show that made it so popular. Please show some respect to both the fans, and to the original material by bringing back the original cast in the roles that they brought to life.
