Get Mattie Stepanek in 'Harry Potter'

Our world (wizard and muggle) has lost one of the most loving hearts it ever had.

We here at The Quibbler respect courage, loyalty, honesty, faithfulness and truth above all else. Not only were those values Mattie Stepanek exuded, they are the foundation for the creation of a peaceful world—a hope Mattie held dear through the end of his life.

Those ideals also make up the core of the Harry Potter series of books, of which Mattie was a devoted fan. Few who followed his work will forget his delight at receiving a wand from Harry (a.k.a actor Daniel Radcliffe) himself.

Mattie loved Harry almost as much as the world loved him—and certainly demonstrated the ideals which Harry himself seems to treasure. In honor of this, The Quibbler would like to commemorate him, and his Heartsongs, in a special way.

We would like to petition, with the permission of Mattie’s mother, and, hopefully, J.K. Rowling and her publishers, that Mattie’s name be placed somewhere in one of the last two Harry Potter books. Whether he is to be a sorted young wizard, a muggle passerby, or a wizarding book Harry takes note of, he will at least be immortalized in a way that would be special not only to him, but to the thousands of people who believed in him and his cause.

With the permission of Jeni Stepanek, and J.K. Rowling, we formally launch this petition. The Editors of The Quibbler will do everything in our power to see this through to fruition; however, if, for any reason, either Ms. Stepanek or Ms. Rowling object, we will immediately withdraw the request.
