Reject Max Baucus Health Care Extortion Amendment!

To:  US Congress

We, the signed, vehemently oppose any Health Care amendment that forces the American people to purchase a plan from any institution on the forth coming 2009 Obama Health care package and will vote against anyone who supports such a bill in upcoming elections. The Max Baucus provision to the "Public Option" is tantamount to extortion and places all of us at risk of paying upwards of a fine of $3,800 for not affording to pay for health insurance that tends to cover next to nothing. Such a perversion of any health care bill that imposes this insurance tax on the public is draconian and submissive to corporate gains and demands and not the people's needs or wants and decreases the ability for us as the consumer to negotiate premiums with the already negligent and deplorable insurance providers. We already pay for Medicare out of every check we receive so if the government wants everyone to be insured then give us the universal medicare we are already paying for!
