John McCain: End the Anger

To:  Senator John McCain

Last night, Senator John McCain gave a very moving concession speech after losing the United States Presidential Election to his opponent Barack Obama. While we greatly admire his actions on election day, we believe he needs to do more. After a long campaign of angry rhetoric and baseless accusations, we believe he needs to address the country to renounce the false statements that claim President Elect Obama is a foreigner, terrorist supporter, socialist, communist, traitor, and any of their other hate-inducing slurs his campaign condoned. We believe he should denounce any form of assault on Barack Obama, verbal or physical, that might endanger the man and his family. Lastly, we believe Senator McCain needs to apologize to the family and the country for inciting such anger and division for his own personal gain. John McCain can be a hero to his country once more by taking these actions and making things right.
