A front burner storyline for Y&R's Michael Damian

We the fans of Michael Damian, 19 year veteran actor on the number one rated Daytime Soap Opera, The Young and the Restless are hereby petitioning for his return to the role of rock star Danny Romalotti. Michael's much hyped return to the show last November has been little more than a vehicle for introducing his rapidly aged son Daniel to the teen canvas and has left his many fans disappointed not only with his lack of air time (38 episodes in 10 months) but with the failure of writers to give him a much deserved front burner storyline. Danny Romalotti and his long time sweetheart Christine Blair were the super-couple of the show in the early 90's and continue to have a faithful following to this day.

Our request is that Michael Damian return to the show ASAP. Danny is an essential character in the current storyline involving his son Daniel and his sudden absence from the show serves no purpose other than to ruin his good guy reputation. Michael Damian is an incredibly talented actor and singer and an integral part of the Y&R. He has remained a firm favorite with fans since his debut on the show in 1981 and many tune in specifically to see him. You only have to look at the latest editions of Soap Opera Digest to see that fans have voted him favorite actor and Danny and Christine, favorite couple two weeks running.

We demand that Michael Damian return to the show and be given a decent storyline!
