We, the undersigned, would like to ask for a consideration in releasing the 1986 movie, Modern Girls, Starring Virginia Madsen, Daphne Zuniga, Cynthia Gibb and Clayton Rohner on DVD.

Unfortunately, when the movie was released, it sunk at the box office and received poor reviews. Due to this, there is only the 1987 print on VHS available.

Since it's run on Cable for the past 20 years, it has received cult status and a new generation of fans are appreciating this 80's time capsule and the desire to own the movie has grown dramatically.

With the resurgence of Virginia Madsen's career and the new retro 80's fads coming back, this would make a great addition to other fantastic 80's movies MGM has been able to bring back (e.g. Thrashin', Valley Girl).

I have run the website, www.moderngirlsmovie.com for 10 years and have received numerous e-mails and positive input from people that love this movie and it's soundtrack as their favorites of all time.

Since this movie was never seen in widescreen format (except for the theater release) we would really love to have this released in widescreen format. Also, MGM has done a fantastic job with the extra features for previous releases, we would genuinely appreciate to see some features such as deleted scenes, theatrical trailer, and perhaps a featurette with cast/crew and a commentary.

Modern Girls is a true 80's gem and we would know that MGM would take this release seriously and properly.
