We, the undersigned Mini-ITX fanatics, are asking VIA Technologies to change policy and release *all* their EPIA motherboards into distribution, and not keep some of them back - many with rather desirable features - just for the IPC market.

Currently this list of "not for distribution" boards stands at the EPIA ME6000 LVDS, EPIA M10000 LVDS and EPIA TC. Soon it will be added to (we think) by the EPIA MII 6000 LVDS and EPIA MII 10000 LVDS. There may even be more we don't know about yet.

LVDS boards can be connected to certain TFT and LCD panels directly, and some of us would like to have a go at that! We might also want to use the 12V DC-DC converter of the EPIA TC in our vehicles or robots, but currently the "not for distribution" policy makes it difficult or impossible to purchase these lovely little boards.

How about it VIA? Mini-ITX isn't just embedded systems and point of sales terminals, it's about fun projects and inventiveness - and you're stifling our creativity!
