To:  Lions Gate Home Entertainment regarding releasing "Moonlighting" on DVD

We, the undersigned, petition you for the continued release of the television series, "Moonlighting" on DVD. Nearly three years ago, the pilot was released. Since then, selected episodes in DVD have been released in region 2, but have not been made readily accessible to U.S. viewers.

Our request is that all episodes, uncut and unedited, in order as originally aired by season, be made available in all regional DVD formats.

"Moonlighting" has enjoyed several very successful runs in syndication, most recently two and a half years on the Bravo network. This airing has re-secured historic fans, and created a whole new generation of avid viewers.

"Moonlighting" possesses a strong Internet community who pursue their interests through groups, clubs, message lists, and websites dedicated to the appreciation of this groundbreaking and innovative show.

Syndication and the rapid proliferation of fan groups worldwide have kept Maddie and David alive and well in the current public consciousness, more than twelve years after the series finale. We are now campaigning for the preservation and further dissemination of this classic program in DVD format. It is our hope that you will reward the burgeoning legions of "Moonlighting" viewers with the long overdue release of these DVDs, so that you may in turn reap the benefits of this eager but as yet untapped market.
