Ban Smoking in the U.S.

Are you tired of walking down the street to your workplace and inhaling a stranger's cigarette smoke? By the time you get to work, you stink of cigarettes as if you are a chain smoker.

Do you have neighbors that smoke and their stench and smoke creeps its way into your home through the doors and windows on a nice Spring day? Before long, your home that once smelled like roses now smells like Marlboro’s and Newport’s. Your furniture and clothes all stink with a stench you can't seem to get rid of.

Do you have young children that are unfortunately exposed to secondhand smoke by passerby’s or worse, loved ones who happen to smoke and don't think it's better to smoke in an isolated area where you and your children are not exposed to the health hazards?

If any of this sounds familiar, then you are definitely NOT alone. I, and many other non smokers are sick and tired of having to suffer the consequences of other's choice to smoke. Your children and future generations should not have to suffer the harmful consequences of secondhand smoke. Did you know that a non smoker can develop lung cancer or emphysema simply from secondhand smoke? Your health and the health of your children is in danger! Even drugs like heroin and cocaine don't affect others' health. It only affects the person doing the drugs. Smoking on the other hand, affects the smoker and everyone that is exposed to the smoke! How is this acceptable by our society? It shouldn't be! Don't let it be! Take a stand with me and other fellow non smokers. Don't let smokers ruin your health and eventually kill you!

Please, join me in creating a new law in the whole country that bans smoking ANYWHERE, including in the smokers' own homes. And it will also ban stores from selling cigarettes. We need to stop this horrible trend before it gets any worse. If we put a stop to it now, we will live longer, healthier lives. Our children and future generations will not have to suffer the consequences of smoking or secondhand smoke. Our smoking loved ones will be supported in quitting smoking and hopefully their health can be saved as well. It's a win-win for everyone, non smokers and smokers alike.
