Recently, Sapulpa Public Schools in Sapulpa, Oklahoma have made it against school policy to wear and listen to anything ICP related. This is not only taking away freedom of speech, but our freedom of expression. Their only means of supporting this rule is that they believe ICP is "gang affiliated." This takes away both our freedom of expression and ICP's freedom of speech as such:
1. Our freedom to express ourselves as Juggalos. Because we consider all Juggalos to be family, we are considered a gang. If we are to go by this example, your very families are gangs. We have the right to support ICP, just as our school has the right to support our football team. ICP does not endorse a gang known as ICP. ICP is a band.
2. ICP has a right to freedom of speech under the 1st Amendment. Speech is not limited to words spoken, but words recorded, written, and shown through symbolism. To tell us that we cannot wear ICP related material, and that we cannot listen to ICP takes away their freedom of recorded speech.
Stop our school system from slowly revoking the rights that we as Americans are entitled to.
