Mega Manifesto

To:  Gaming Publications of America

We the undersigned, as intelligent and responsible members of the gaming society, call on the major media publications both in print and internet media to more objectively view and more carefully examine new releases starring the many incarnations of Mega Man.

We assert the following:
1. Major gaming publications often downplay or cast unfair comparisons to past Mega Man games when reviewing new Mega Man titles
2. The gameplay and plot information presented in such publications sometimes shows no sign of any fact checking from editors, writers, or researchers
3. Off-the-cuff slights against Mega Man in such gaming publications are frequent and non-chalant
4. The attitude expressed in such gaming publications help promote a general air of popularity in disliking Mega Man games

In being balanced, we also assert the following:
1. Even when being fair and objective, not all Mega Man games deserve praise
2. Not all gaming publications are guilty of the above four grievances

It is the duty of any gaming publication that recieves word of this petition to more closely examine the way their magazine or internet site treats Mega Man games. The focus is not in that wrong has been done, but in that these issues need to be more closely watched to make sure that wrong isn't done in the future. Thank you.
