Resignation of Gary Bettman

To:  NHL commissioner

The NHL is in disarray. Over expansion into non lucrative markets and refusal to move teams have destroyed the league.

Many teams don't even qualify for the minimum 14,000 average attendance in order to qualify for their share of the revenue-sharing pool. Teams are forced to pad ticket sales and the collective agreement is bankrupting teams by forcing small market teams to spend a minimum of 41 million.

But despite these facts, Gary Bettman refuses to allow teams to move to more lucrative markets in Canada and the Northwest United States.

The goal of this petition is to bring attention to the issues and to call for the resignation of Gary Bettman before he destroys the NHL.
